Hello,

I haven't introduced myself yet-I am currently employed as a Project Coordinator for a Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) for the City of Greater Sudbury.  LIPs are found across Ontario and are a 'bottom-up' approach to addressing issues related to inclusivity and integration of newcomers.

Previous to this I chaired a Diversity Advisory Panel to the City, which was very active in engaging different community organizations and groups.  The Panel provided advice to council and was officially endorsed as part of the Healthy Communities Initiative.

In terms of Career Development, I co-chair the Standards and Certification committee of the Career Development Association of Alberta (CDAA) and am working with Sareena and Lynne (at the CCDF) on an interim steering committee to establish a pan-Canadian body of career development associations.

Currently, I am completing some credit courses from Colorado State University in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology with the hopes of completing a Master's degree in this subject area.

I look forward to working on this project with everyone.

Scott

Hi Scott - thank you for the introduction. You have to be very busy with graduate work, your employment with the City of Sudbury, and then all your professional commitments. Your background will provide a real depth to the chapter on Community Capacity Building. Best, Blythe
